Five things to check before you buy a plot.
A little preparation protects your investment. Use this list on every site visit.
- Location and access. Visit at different times of day. Check how easily you can reach main roads, schools and markets.
- Growth potential. Look at nearby development and infrastructure plans that could lift value over time.
- Size, shape and boundaries. Make sure the plot matches the plan and that the boundaries are clear on the ground.
- Documents. Ask to see every document and have them checked before you pay any advance.
- Total budget. Plan for registration and other costs, not only the price of the land.
